Some of these artworks were also enhanced with water colors, ink wash, graphite and color pencils etc. ![]() ![]() Yamada also invented a series of new style of dipping pens by using the sward-like long hard tail (telson) of the Atlantic horseshoe crabs, when he found their carcasses at the waterfront of Coney Island Beach in Brooklyn, NY in 2002. Yamada's recent pen and ink illustrations on paper with impeccable draftsmanship reflect his passion for cryptozoological creatures (cryptids) and mythic animals. Yamada Mizuki Murakami, kaidan Yo-kai Shigeru, Norio, gadan shu-sei Yo- To kai. Yamada was commissioned to create over 300 pen and ink illustrations to be published twice a week for the Chicago Japanese American News (newspaper) in Chicago during 19.
